Senators Murkowski, Sullivan & Congressman Young: listen to Alaskans, Stop Pebble’s runaway train!

Alaska’s leaders should do everything they can to ensure that the Pebble Partnership submits a complete and honest permit application for review. On June 29, Governor Bill Walker weighed in with a letter to the Army Corps of Engineers - the Agency in charge of reviewing Pebble's first major permit. Gov. Walker requested that the Corps suspend Pebble's permitting process until the missing information is updated in the permit application. Meanwhile, Alaska's Congressional delegation remains silent.

It is time for Senators Murkowski and Sullivan, and Congressman Young to follow Governor Walker's lead and listen to Alaskans who have said repeatedly that they want Bristol Bay's irreplaceable salmon fishery protected.
